IV THERAPY

IV Therapy

What Is IV Therapy?

IV therapy is the delivery of vitamin, mineral and fluid support through a vein. It is chosen where absorption through the digestive system is insufficient, or where support is needed quickly, and where the physician considers it appropriate.

What matters here is the content. In our clinic the infusion is planned according to the deficiencies found in your blood tests and your general health; the same mixture is not given to everyone.

When Is It Considered?

  • For vitamin or mineral deficiencies demonstrated by testing
  • For people describing marked fatigue and fluid loss after a demanding period
  • Where oral supplements are not sufficient or not tolerated
  • During periods when the physician considers immune support appropriate

A precondition: In heart failure, impaired kidney function and certain chronic illnesses, fluid load can pose a risk. An assessment before the procedure is therefore essential.

How the Process Works

  1. Testing — The necessary blood tests are requested in line with your complaints.
  2. Content plan — The infusion content, dose and repeat interval are set according to the results.
  3. Session — Carried out in a reclining chair under medical supervision.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take?

It varies with the content, but a typical session is 30–60 minutes.

Can it be given without testing?

No. Support given without knowing the deficiency may be unnecessary or risky, so an assessment comes first.

How often is it repeated?

The interval is individual and is reviewed again with follow-up tests.

The information on this page is general in nature. IV applications are not planned without medical assessment and the appropriate tests. Our clinic sees patients at its practice in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul.
