What Is Ozone Therapy?
Ozone therapy is a complementary application in which a medical-grade oxygen–ozone mixture is given to the body in measured doses under medical supervision. The aim is to support oxygen delivery to the tissues and to activate the body’s own antioxidant defences.
It does not replace conventional medical treatment. It is planned as support alongside an existing treatment plan, where the physician considers it appropriate. Dose and number of sessions vary from person to person — there is no standard programme.
Methods We Use
Major Ozone
A small amount of the patient’s blood is enriched with medical ozone and returned through the vein. It is the most widely used systemic method and is no less comfortable than a routine blood draw.
Minor Ozone
A small amount of blood is ozonated and given intramuscularly. It is usually chosen in addition to the major method, to support the immune system.
Local Ozone
Ozone is applied to a limited area, around a joint or into muscle tissue. It is planned for regional complaints where the physician considers it suitable.
Rectal Ozone
A needle-free systemic method in which ozone is delivered into a body cavity. It may be preferred when venous access is not suitable.
Wound Bagging
For wounds that are slow to heal, the area is brought into contact with ozone inside a dedicated bag. It is applied alongside wound care.
Who Might It Suit?
- People describing persistent fatigue and weakness, whose test results have been reviewed by their physician
- People for whom immune support is being considered because of frequently recurring infections
- People under follow-up for a chronic illness, for whom additional support is planned
- People seeking a complementary approach for regional joint and muscle complaints
There are situations where it is not suitable. Ozone therapy is not applied in pregnancy, G6PD deficiency, uncontrolled hyperthyroidism or certain blood disorders. This is why an examination and the necessary tests precede every application.
How the Process Works
- Assessment — We listen to your complaints, review your existing conditions and medication, and request the necessary tests.
- Planning — If suitable, the method, dose and interval are set for you; the process is explained and your informed consent is taken.
- Application and follow-up — Sessions are carried out under medical supervision and the plan is reviewed according to your response.
Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the person and the goal. The number of sessions can only be decided by the physician after examination and testing.
